The TARZANA COMIC CON FILM FESTIVAL recognizes creative expression by honoring excellence in various aspects of film making, acting and content creation.
The TARZANA COMIC CON FILM FESTIVAL promotes content creators through various media outlets, facilitate distribution opportunities and encourage new interests through the building of strong networking communities.

The essence of this festival is that it takes place on SEPTEMBER 1, which is the birth day of author EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS and therefore this festival aims to celebrate the life, influence and district where ERB lived which has since his death in March 1950 been named TARZANA!
UPDATE
The live - screening event are scheduled to take place along with the awards ceremony, which aims to only screen the top selections per category, but is only pursued if the latest SAG/AFTRA strike and Covid regulations permit us to do so. In the case of extreme measures, the festival & screenings might be executed via an online event only.

The Tarzana Comic Con Film Festival explores the diverse realms of genre cinema and provide a festive but professional atmosphere where emerging artists are given exposure, both locally and internationally. We aim to showcase the best in California and world cinema, discovering new talents and offering a platform through which artists and audiences can connect.
OUR VISION
The Tarzana Comic Con Film Festival’s definition of genre cinema is far-reaching and continually evolving. While still relatively new to the various genre film festivals in the world, Tarzana Film Festival looks forward to expanding on its achievements with more visiting filmmakers, content creators, industry attendees, and the introduction of an interactive film production company that will enable independent media artists to exchange ideas and to connect with writers and producers alike.
